About Me
Hi, I'm Ashley! I am a mother of 3 wonderful boys and I live on a small hobby farm in Colchester, NS. My passion for all things birth came after the birth of my third son. It was innate, powerful, primal... It was beautiful! It was also a stark difference between my first two births which were marked by fear, pain and uncertainty. The difference was knowing my options and understanding the labour and birth process and what would work best for me. This lit a fire in me. Every birthing person has the right to this knowledge. As I began my journey into birth work, my resolve that every birthing person should be completely supported informationally, emotionally, and physically, grew into the passion that I carry with me to support birthing people and their families today.
My Philosophy
Just as each pregnancy and birth are different so are the needs and wants of each birthing person. Not everyone desires the same type of birth. Some birthing people want a very natural, low interference birth and others want or need a medicated, hands on birth. Whichever type of birth resonates with you is the birth and perinatal period we will work toward together.
